Elissa Slotkin- Candidate for U.S. Senate: Fighting to Defend and Expand Michigan's Middle Class

  • Elissa is a third-generation Michigander whose early life was shaped by the time she spent on her family farm in Holly, Michigan. Her family story is one of hard work and sacrifice, starting with her great-grandfather. He immigrated to the U.S. and achieved his American Dream by founding the family meat business, Hygrade Foods, which established its headquarters in Detroit in 1949. Hygrade created a number of food staples beloved by Michiganders, including the famous Ballpark Frank, first sold at Tiger Stadium. The values of hard work, decency, and integrity that underpinned his success were passed down from generation to generation, ultimately guiding Elissa into a life of service.

She will work to cut high prices and corporate greed, protect social security and healthcare freedoms, safeguard food/air/water, and support family farms.

Erin Schultes- Candidate for Michigan D36 State Representative: I'm Erin Schultes and I'm Running for MI State Rep

  • Clean water and air! For drinking and playing. This is Michigan, damn it. How dare we call ourselves a winter water wonderland if you can't swim in it or drink it. Last I checked humans were still largely water and breathe air, both a requirement to survive. Clean water should be a human right. LGBTQIA+ rights are human right. Full STOP. Reproductive health is between a person and their team of doctors. Full STOP. Unions are amazing and I happen to be endorsed by a few. Animal rights matter. I like animals more than most people. They don't care how badly I dance. I have the grace of a newborn giraffe but that's OK. Also have you ever seen baby animals? I mean, come on. The big thing that separates us from animals is not our ability to speak. It is our compassion. It is our ability to love beyond reason. It is our drive to better ourselves. Our ability to adapt and grow. Our ability to learn and teach. It's art and music. These things are what make us human. Love is what makes us human. When we stop caring about each other, we fail as a society.
